Bauart's activities cover the multiple fields of architecture and urbanism. The main features include planning and constructing new buildings, transforming existing ones, as well as studying built environment-related issues and conducting research, in particular in the fields of sustainable development or wood construction. Providing expertise and project management also form part of their area of competence.

In view of their strong commitment to sustainable development, Bauart supports the Active Interfaces project by participating in the Advisory board of the research project. The main purpose is to feed the project's development process with the perspective of a professional stakeholder working in the construction sector. In addition, technical information will be made available to the Active Interfaces partners and access to relevant data will be facilitated.
